The aim of the initiative
is to improve health & well-being and reduce inequalities
on Bute. The Project has been developed
by a broad partnership of Voluntary and Statutory Agencies,
Community Groups and Community Representatives.
Bute Healthy Living Initiative has been developed and supported

The best impact can be made if we work together to achieve common
goals. We are always looking to work in partnership with other
groups and agencies to increase our impact, share resources
and to avoid duplication. We have a range of resources and information
available to borrow or hire. We are funded by the New Opportunities Fund and NHS Argyll & Clyde.

programme focuses on diet and access to fresh affordable
food. Cookery Courses, Community Allotments and development
of a community cafe will make it easier to eat healthy

programme will improve access to services that are available
on the island. This is often called a one-stop-shop.
If we can't help you, we will find out who can and how
to go about it. We also stock a variety of books and
resources on health and wellbeing issues. More..... |

programme aims to increase knowledge and skills to help
you make informed choices about your health. We can
help you with a Personal Action Plan to help you make
a start and set a goal.

Have
you ever considered becoming a volunteer? It gives
you the opportunity to get involved, get training, give
something back, meet people, make new friends and do
something worthwhile. We offer volunteer places in all
aspects of our project.

Here
we focus on prevention, positive mental health attitudes
and a holistic approach to health. Self Help & Support
Groups, Health & Wellbeing Groups, Confidence Building,
Complementary Therapies and Counselling are all part
of this programme.
